The Ami Nuudo line are minimalist travel palettes featuring a compact tin housing paint palettes and mixing palette combinations of your choice. The Ami Nuudo v.3 is my latest version that has improved the capacity of the 18-well with brush version (v.2). It now amazingly manages to fit a mister and mini-pencil, on top of the brush and yet retains the 24-well palette capacity of the original Ami Nuudo (v.1)!
This was achieved concurrently with making the palettes modular, allowing you to swap out only portions of the palette, something that isn't possible with previous versions where you would have to swap out the entire paint palette insert. Now you can swap out just 3, 6 or 12 of the paints! Breaking the palettes up have allowed me to gain a few millimeters of space that I gathered together in the middle to make space for a combination of brush, mini-mister and mini-pencil. It's like someone took an art kit and hit it with a shrink gun!

*The pencil is so small you might wonder how to sharpen it. You can use a knife, but I recommend a piece of sandpaper.
This 3 5/8"x 2 3/8" tin normally holds 14 half pans, so my custom paint palettes allow you to increase that by 70%! It is important to note that this palette is designed with the objective of being able to carry as many colors as possible in a small case. Think of it as an upgraded dot 'card'. It is ideal for working on smaller pieces or journals, on works where one would not normally lay down big washes or use wide brushes, or as a secondary or travel palette when bag weight/space is a priority. It is NOT designed to be used as a main palette and will be insufficient as a studio palette, or for use with brushes with tips wider than 10mm. I recommend this palette if your paper/pad/journal is 5"x 8" or smaller, with round brushes size 6 or smaller, filberts and flats with widths of 8mm or smaller.
In other words, you probably won't rely on this palette for your masterpieces, but it's compact enough to give you everything you need to paint with, yet light enough to be negligible in your bag - it can stay there every day and you will always have something to create with when inspiration strikes!
The palettes are handmade by manually pouring liquid urethane on manually cast moulds. The moulds were cast from 3D-prints of palette configurations that I custom-designed and modelled specifically for each type of tin in my shop. Because of these manual aspects of production, measurements provided will vary slightly from piece to piece. It is also not uncommon to find imperfections such as an occasional bubble or uneven bottom. I will ensure that none of the flaws affect the usability of the palettes.
